Our Story

In 2013, with a dream planted in our hearts and a dash of creativity, we gave Grandpa´s house, which has been in our family for four generations, a youthful makeover (unfortunately, he is not around anymore to enjoy what we did to his house, but surely he would love Pura Vida). The result? The coziest accommodation in Sagres, infused with a homey feeling that’ll make you feel like part of our family.

Every piece of furniture, except for a few quirky ones, was lovingly refurbished right here. With the help of our caring friends and family, we turned this space into a haven of peace and love. Sustainability is our jam, and reusing resources is our way of spreading good vibes.

The Great Village of Sagres

Sagres is a magical place located in Portugal’s Algarve region, boasting breathtaking cliffs, serene rock formations, and turquoise-clear waters that will make your heart sing. With so many different spots to explore, it’s a dream come true for all you water babies out there! The name Sagres comes from Sacred, and it’s easy to see why. This place is a feast for the senses, with a charming fishing port, sandy beaches, quirky pubs, delectable traditional Portuguese cuisine, and historic landmarks that will take you back in time and leave you speechless!

People travel from all over the world just to witness the inspiring sunset and solar eclipses at the “Land’s End of the World.” And if you’re into underwater adventures, Sagres is the ultimate destination for you!

Meet the Founder

Cristovão — or Cris, as everyone knows him — founded the dive center in 2013 with a simple goal: to share his deep connection to the Atlantic Ocean with others.

After years of diving and surfing worldwide, including time in South America where he became a certified instructor, Cris returned to Portugal to build a dive program grounded in experience, safety, and respect for the ocean. The focus is always the same: quality instruction, responsible diving, and creating experiences that leave a lasting impact, namely on the future generation through his youth dive camps.

When he’s not underwater, Cris carries the same ocean-driven lifestyle — as a yoga teacher, surfer and a skipper. Cris has been a dive instructor since 1999 and he's currently hand-building the sailing boat he dreams of taking offshore.
